- Power: A 12V DC power supply is included.
Any regulated 10–18V DC, ≥ 500 mA, 5.5 x 2.1 mm center-positive supply will work. - Inputs: Balanced TRS inputs for the left and right channels.
- Outputs: XLR outputs at microphone level for the left and right channels.
To use, connect the stereospring inputs to the line outputs carrying your send, and the stereospring outputs to 2 microphone preamps for makeup gain. Set the preamp inputs to microphone level, not line level.
stereospring was designed and tested with EQ and gain added to the send, before it reaches stereospring’s inputs. I encourage you to use these settings as a baseline.
- Low filter: 300 Hz, 24 dB/octave, Q 0.2
- High filter: 6 kHz, 24 dB/octave, Q 0.2
- Gain: +9 dB
Each tank saturates at a different point, so adjust the gain from there. I also found that a predelay was useful, depending on the tank and song.
